Description | Rendering yearly to William and his heirs 23s. 4d., in two equal parts, at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and St. Michael the Archangel, and if the aforesaid rent is in arrears for a month after the aforesaid feasts, William and his heirs can make distraint of the said messuage and virgate; if the rent is in arrears for a whole year they can re-possess the land, Thomas and this assigns promise to maintain the messuage at their own cost during the said term. Thomas is bound to William for 20 marks to perform this indenture faithfully. Thomas is to perform the usual services to the chief lord of the fee.
