DescriptionPleas at Westminster in the court of Thomas Bryan knight, and his fellow justices of the King's Bench, in the term of St. Hilary, 13 Henry VII, Roll 146 for Essex; Brian Barde, clerk, seeks against Henry Baker of Pritwell and the aforesaid, 180 acres of land in Burysgifford as his right and inheritance, who have it from Henry Heyre who unjustly etc. The defendants through Thomas Glanthorn, came and defended their right and called Thomas Seynt Nicholas to Warranty, who appeared and vouched to warranty John Drake, who imparled with Barde and defaulted. Judgment went to Barde at whose request this exemplification is made. Witnessed, Bryan at Westminster.
