Description | A capital messuage with home close adjoining, another capital messuage, in the occupation of Thomas Weekley, a messuage and a cottage, the New Closes, 6 yardlands in Starley Slade Field, Soame Field, in Longland or the Old Field, sold by Thomas Weekley of Mowlesworth, Hunts., to Sir Gilbert Pickering of Titchmarsh, Northants., and sold back to him by Sir Gilbert's son, John who had mortgaged the estate heavily. By Weekley's will dated 10th January 1723, he bequeathed all the aforesaid premises to his daughter Mary, who married William Murdin of Little Berkhampstead, Herts. In 1737 they conveyed the same to Robert Lambe of Great Addington. |
