DescriptionPetition by Rev Thomas White, clerk on behalf of Richard Smallbroke, Vicar General and Rev Joseph Rann, vicar of the church; churchwardens, parishioners and inhabitants, for additional burial ground for the fast-growing city of Coventry. The land is situated opposite the ancient churchyard, separated by a row of iron palisades and a road from the Butcher Row of the city. The land is enclosed on the east by a substantial wall separating it from the garden of John Stanton and also his house; on the west is an engine house and a dwelling owned by Mrs Belcher; to the north another part of Mr Stanton's garden.
