| Description | Dedication and consecration of land by James bishop of Lichfield and Coventry for additional burial ground in response to a petition by Rev John Henry Powell, vicar; and William Smith, Thomas Boddington and John Barnwell, churchwardens and the parishioners. The land for the new churchyard was donated by the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch and the Lord and Lady of the manor of Dunchurch, and amounts to about 27 perches on an area south east of the existing churchyard and known as Lion Close. |
