Seven divisions within the department – turbine design department (including tender group, blading group, mechanical design group, control systems & applications, stress and dynamic analysis, post contract design, computer department), turbine drawing office, development laboratories (mechanical lab, air flow lab), metallurgy department (including development lab at Whetstone), quality department (including standards and specification section), technical publications department, engineering administration. 225 people at other locations – Trafford Park (including whole of Feed Heating & Condenser Department; parts of Turbine Engineering and Drawing Office, Metallurgy and Technical Publications Department), also main Aerodynamics Lab at Barton Docks Road (Manchester) and a few staff at Larne;

New bowls pavilion built after demolition of old one to make way for new office block extension adjacent to the green;
