Corpus Christi college owned Brailes Hill Farm in fee simple, subject to an annual farm rent of £42 2s, an annual corn rent of 2s 6d and, and by an order of 7 Apr 1959 the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food approved the sale of the farm, which was conveyed to Gerald Cotterill. Gerald Cotterill redeemed the annual farm rent and corn rent, and agreed to sell the property, free from the rents, to Charles Chandler. In this present deed, Charles Chandler pays £11000 to the Minister of Argriculture, Fisheries and Food and £9000 to Gerald Cotterill to purchase a farm house, garden, cottage, barn, farm buildings and land known as Brailes Hill Farm; and also four cottages, gardens and land in Brailes.
