DescriptionAward by William Willes of Priors Marston, gent., Henry Murcote of Tachbrook, yeoman, William Hill and Richard Townesend of Warwick, gents. Recites that a dispute has arisen between Richard Willes of Leamington Priors, gent., eldest son and heir of Richard Willes of Ufton, deceased, and William Willes of Ufton, second son of the late Richard, over the title and interest of a moiety of a pasture called Astfelde in Hodnell, devised to the said William for 16 years by his father in order that he pay his two younger brothers (called Richard and Thomas) the sum of 200 marks, and also over various other legacies, debts, quarrels and demands. The parties are to give each other acquitances of all actions against each; Richard Willes is to take possession of the moiety of Astfelde from next Michaelmas, but William Willes may remove all his stock there and is not to charged rent; Richard is to have all the cattle, stock and store in Leamington devised to him by his father's will, and forty of the sheep in Leamington field, and the wood in Ufton also devised, Richard paying the legacies left to his two sisters by William Murcote of Leamington, deceased; William is to deliver to Richard a bond by their uncle, William Willes the arbitrator, to Richard Willes deceased in the sum of 1,000 marks, touching the occupation of the moiety of Astfelde; William is to provide Richard with a chest suitable for keeping deeds, and Richard is to give William the key of an iron chest of his father's; Richard is to relinquish the executorship of his father's will to William, and is to give to Willam a bond by his father to Thomas Wagstaffe of Harbury for £300, the same to be cancelled before the arbitrators; Richard is to deliver to William a grey filly; Richard is to pay £80 to his younger brother Richard, for all legacies from his father and from William Murcote, on his marriage or reaching the age of 21 years, or if he dies beforehand then to Thomas Willes, and is to have custody of young Richard till marriage or reaching 21; Richard is to give young Richard a bay colt when the colt is four years old; Richard is to pay £20 to his younger brother Thomas, for all legacies from his father and from William Murcote, on his marriage or reaching the age of 21 years, or if he dies beforehand then to the younger Richard Willes, and also give to Thomas a dun colt; William is to pay £60 to his younger brother Thomas, for all legacies from his father and from William Murcote, on his marriage or reaching the age of 21 years, or if he dies beforehand then to the younger Richard Willes, and is to have custody of Thomas till marriage or reaching 21.
