In four sections [each followed by many blank pages], as follows: brief accounts for travelling to Dublin; weekly totals of bills (House, Butchers and Bakers), interspersed with summaries of household expenditure; miscellaneous payments (including taxes, payments to workmen, servants wages, some items of clothing); purchases of clothing; expenses of coach and horses. Appears to have been kept by Anne Willes. Enclosed: sheet of paper with financial calculations about the cost of improvements at Newbold from 1740 to 1756. |
