Description | Account book entitled on front cover 'Liber Edwardi Willes A', arranged ledger fashion, recording fees charged to Edward Willes' clients for legal work from 1662 to 1668. The fees are recorded on 262 numbered pages [at least two of which, 169-170, have been torn out]. Several entries contain cross references to 'L[iber] B'. At the end of the volume is an alphabetical index of clients' names. Two pages at the front of the volume have been used to record details of Edward Willes' birth, career, marriage, the birth and marriage of his eldest son, and the birth of his son's daughter Bridget in 1694 (with details of her height and weight up to 1700). |
