George Mathew, Henry's father had granted Thomas Renford of Longdon, Worcestershire esquire and another an annuity of £80 during the natural life of Mary now Henry's wife for her use in recompense of her jointure: Henry has acknowledged a statute merchant in £140 to Thomas Oughton. It is covenanted for defeasance of the statute merchant that if Oughton enjoys the above property without claim being made on it for the annuity of £80, that then the statute is to be void and of none effect. |
