TitleOriginal bundle wrapped in brown paper labelled "Re: Pittom Very Old Title Deeds relating to cottages and land at Barby, late Howard to Hall- Leasehold + Freehold, 1767. Deeds relating to house and Cow's Common described in a 1720 deed as a "mothie half quartern or eighth part of one yardland in Barby" 1720. In 1722 deed these are described in detail and the names of the closes are given, in 1747 the property is described as two bays of building and a cullis or leanto adjoining and a foreyard homestall close (Chapman, Newbold, Heyward, Varney, Pittom).
