TitleConveyance by William Ellson and Henry Vann to Richard Arnold of a close of land and the sites of two tenements, since demolished, in Lilbourne
Date25th March 1803
DescriptionFeoffment between Henry Vann, William Ellson, Robert Rowell and Aaron Garner of the one part and Richard Arnold of Lutterworth, Leicestershire, gentleman of the other part. William Ellson had agreed to sell a close of land to Henry Vann for £42. Henry Vann has agreed to sell the same together with the site of two tenements now pulled down, to Richard Arnold for £105. As no conveyance has been made of the close from William Ellson to Henry Vann, William Ellson has agreed to convey the close to Richard Arnold. Richard Arnold pays £42 to William Ellson and £63 to Henry Vann and they convey to him a close of ground in Lilbourne containing one acre, bordered on one side by lands belonging to Richard Arnold, on another side by lands lately belonging to Mrs Higginson, on the third side by the town street of Lilbourne and on the final side by other premises being conveyed. This close was previously in the tenure of Robert Boddington, then of Henry Vann and is now in the occupation of Samuel Cooke. Also conveyed is the site of a tenement lately pulled down and a piece of ground extending to Herberts Closes now in the tenure of Samuel Cooke, and another site of a tenement lately pulled down with the orchard or homestead belonging to it, also now in the tenure of Samuel Cooke, which last mentioned tenement was previously purchased by Moses Garner from William Earnsby. This tenement was later sold by Aaron Garner to Henry Vann, but the deed of this conveyance has since been lost, so Aaron Garner joins in the conveyance of this site to Richard Arnold. Both of the sites of the tenements abut onto the town street of Lilbourne.
