Description | Brethertons is one of the oldest firms of solicitors in Rugby, and was founded by W F Wratislaw between 1810 and 1814 [for an account of the origins of the family and the firm see the article by M S Turpin in "Rugby: Further Aspects of the Past" in the Record Office Library at B.RUG.(p)]. The firm has previously been known amongst others as Wratislaw, Wratislaw and Thompson, Wratislaw and Bretherton, and Wratislaw, Bretherton and Crofts, and incorporates the work of Dean and Pullman.
