4 - Bundle of papers relating to the Stratford upon Avon Canal Company. Includes list of proprietors (annotated 1796), agreement for the Unicorn Inn, Stratford between Mr Thomas Smith and The Stratford Canal Company (1800); report of a meeting of the proprietors which resolved to keep open subscriptions until 2000 new shares be reached, that a report be prepared stating when canal may be completed to Wootton Hill and thence to town of Stratford upon Avon (followed by a list of subscribers) (1809). Letter from executor of Mrs Mary Halford (1823); Also a number of returned letters (1817). - 1796-1818

Includes such as index to the names contained within the parish registers of the parish of Lapworth for the years 1561-1860; pen and ink sketch of Prat's Pit; small black notebook containing lectures on 'Bygone Lapworth'; large brown notebook on Lapworth Charities; etc.
