Deeds relating to messuage in Barby, Northamptonshire, with homestall belonging, in 1700 deed property is described as messuage in Barby and those two bays of barneing adjoining to the north side of the messuage and that hovell, cowhouse and building adjoining to the pool caled the Beare Banke and arable lands containing one quarterne (Carter, Leeds, Satchwell, Cleeve, Earl). Abstract of title of John Blick to farm, farmhouse and two cottages at Barby reciting back to 1700, contracted to be sold to Mr Ormond. (Carter, Leeds, Satchwell, Cleeve, Earl).
